Description

Diagnose HIV infection earlier — get medical care sooner. Rapid point-of-care test simultaneously detects both HIV-1/2 antibodies and HIV-1 p24 antigen.

  • In vitro, visually read, qualitative immunoassay gives faster results than conventional tests that rely solely on presence of HIV-1/2 antibodies
  • Can be used with human serum, plasma, capillary (fingerstick) whole blood or venipuncture (venous) whole blood
  • May distinguish acute HIV-1 infection from established HIV-1 infection when specimen is positive for HIV-1 p24 antigen and negative for anti-HIV-1 and anti-HIV-2 antibodies
  • Suitable for use in multi-test algorithms designed for statistical validation of rapid HIV test results
