Recombinant Protein

For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. This ALK T1151_L1152insT recombinant human protein (1060-end) was expressed in insect cells. ALK T1151_L1152insT recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service. Validated for use with the LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding assay Available in multiple pack sizes for convenient use Also available in our SelectScreen Kinase Profiling Service Protein Form: Recombinant, Active, Catalytic The gene accession number for ALK [T1151 is NP_004295.2.

ALK receptor tyrosine kinase or anaplastic lymphoma kinase was originally identified as a member of the insulin receptor subfamily that acquires transforming capability when truncated and fused to NPM (nucleophosmin) in the t(2;5) chromosomal rearrangement associated with ALCL. Many chromosomal rearrangements leading to enhanced ALK activity have been described and are implicated in a number of cancer types. In the nervous system, ALK in the presence of ligand appears essential for axonal guidance, whereas in the absence of ligand, ALK expression can lead to developmental neuronal apoptosis.
