Manufactured from a specially developed austenitic stainless-stee—Alloy 8—available exclusively from Troemner. Weights 1g and larger are manufactured using Alloy 8, which possesses closely controlled density, extremely low magnetic susceptibility, excellent stability and resistance to corrosion, assuring a very stable mass over time. Other weights are stainless-steel.

• Each fractional weight is embossed with its value
• Weights from 1 to 30mg are aluminum and flat, with one side turned up to form a handle for non-slip gripping with forceps
• Weights from 50 to 500mg are stainless steel and flat with one side turned up to form a handle
• Gram and kilogram weights are manufactured using Alloy 8 and come in cylindrical shapes with knobs on top for easy handling
• Weight sets come in a 5-2-2-1 series, with two weights of any included mg or g value beginning with 2 (2mg, 20mg, etc.) and one weight for all other inclusive values
