Inhibitor of diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT). Shows inhibitory effect in rat liver microsomes (IC50=10.2µM) and Raji cells (IC50=15.5µM). Excessive accumulation of triacetylglycerol produced by DGAT may cause fatty liver, obesity and hypertriglyceridemia, which may lead to atherosclerosis, diabetes and metabolic disorders. Purity: ≥95% (HPLC). Appearance: Pale white to pale yellow powder. Solubility: Soluble in methanol, ethyl acetate or benzene; insoluble in water or hexane. Long Term Storage: -20°C.
