3-plate convenience package containing 1 ea of Brucella Blood Agar (BRU), Phenylethyl Alcohol Agar (PEA), & split bi-plate containing both BBE & LKV agar in a single package. Media are prepared, dispensed, & packaged under oxygen-free conditions to prevent the formation of oxidized products prior to use.BRU, PEA, BBE, & LKV media may be utilized in the initial set up of clinical specimens to aid in the isolation & identification from mixed flora samples. BRU is a non-selective general enrichment Med. supporting broad spectrum anaerobic growth. PEA is a selective Med. that inhibits facultative gram-negative rods & swarming of some Clostridium & Proteus species. LKV is a selective & differential Med. for the isolation & partial ID of obligately anaerobic gram-negative bacilli.
