Chickens were immunized with highly purified Campylobacter jejuni Fibronectin binding outer membrane protein (CadF) and the eggs were collected and delipidated. Antibody was immunoaffinity purified off CadF containing immunosorbent. Antibody concentration was determined using an absorbance at 280 nm: 1.32 equals 1.0 mg of IgY. This antibody reacts with Campylobacter jejuni fibronectin binding outer membrane protein as determined by ELISA and it can detect Campylobacter jejuni cells with Immunofluorescence staining. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.
