The B6H12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD47, a ≈50 kDa glycosylated transmembrane protein ubiquitously expressed by hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells. Involved in apoptosis, proliferation, adhesion, and migration, it plays a role in immune and angiogenic responses. B6H12 neutralizes CD47 and inhibits growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells in vitro.
