Specificity: Clone 38 recognizes human CD11a. Antigen Distribution: CD11a is expressed on leukocytes. Background: CD11a is a 170-180 kDa integrin α chain, and is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form a heterodimer known as LFA-1, which plays a vital role in cellular immune responses which require adhesion. The absence of LFA-1α or ß may induce LAD. Applications: (FC, WB) Clone 38 may be used to study transplantation rejections and biological phenomena related to the function of cell adhesion molecules, and may enable characterization of lymphomas and leukemias. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
