Specificity: Clone ICRF44 recognizes the subunit (CD11b) of the Human CD11b/CD18 complex. Antigen Distribution: CD11b is expressed on human peripheral blood lymphocytes, NK lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, a subset of T-cells & macrophages. Background: The CD11b/CD18 antigen is a heterodimeric surface glycoprotein on leukocytes & belongs to the ß2 integrin family. CD11b (165-170 kDa) functions as a receptor for C3bi complement, clotting factor X, fibrinogen & ICAM-1. Applications: (FC, WB) Clone ICRF44 may be used to study lymphocyte subsets in flow cytometry & in cell adhesion research. It may be used to stain tissue sections which have been acetone fixed & frozen.
