Specificity: Clone UCHT-1 binds to the human CD3ε-chain. Antigen Distribution: CD3 is expressed on human peripheral blood lymphocytes, splenic lymphocytes, the majority of T-CLL and T-ALL cells. Background: CD3ε is a T-cell surface glycoprotein and is a 20-kDa subunit of the TCR complex used for enumerating immunocompetent T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood. CD3 is involved in signal transduction during antigen recognition. Applications: (FC, IP, WB) Clone UCHT-1 is also useful in histology for localization of T-lymphocytes in tissue and may be used to enrich T-cells by cell sorting. This T-cell marker has also been used to determine T-versus B-cell lymphomas and leukemias. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
