Specificity: Clone 1a3 recognizes a monomorphic epitope present on human HLA-DQ of the class II major histocompatibility complex. Antigen Distribution: HLA-DQ is expressed on B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells and activated T lymphocytes. Background: HLA-DQ is a heterodimeric cell surface glycoprotein comprised of two subunits: a 27 kD alpha (heavy) chain and a 32 kD Beta (light) chain. Both chains of HLA-DQ are polymorphic and the alpha chain shows a high degree of polymorphism. Applications: (WB) Clone 1a3 reacts with virtually all B-cell lines and some tissue macrophages and dendritic cells. Clone 1a3 does not react with HLA-DR or HLA-DP molecules. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
