This antibody reacts with lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) nucleoprotein (NP), a 63 kDa structural protein. It was generated by fusing spleen cells from an LCMV strain WE immunized F1 rat with the YM3 myeloma cell line. The antibody stains LCMV-infected cells internally with no surface staining and does not react with vaccinia, vesicular stomatitis, or influenza virus-infected cells.
