The PK136 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse NK1.1 (CD161b/CD161c, KLRB1, NKR-P1A, Ly-55), a type II integral membrane glycoprotein. NK1.1 plays roles in NK cell activation, differentiation, IFN-γ production, and cytotoxic granule release. Predominantly expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer on NK cells and NK-T cells, it is found in C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB mouse strains.
