Clone DECMA-1 is a rat monoclonal IgG1 antibody that reacts with human, mouse, and dog E-cadherin (CD324). Verified for use with flow cytometry assays, use this antibody in applications requiring the detection of CD324. E-cadherin is a calcium-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell-cell adhesion, bacterial pathogenesis, and tumor invasion. E-cadherin is expressed in most epithelial cells and erythroid cells. The E-cadherin antibody is often used as a neutralizing antibody to inhibit E-cadherin-mediated cell-cell interactions. This antibody clone has been verified for labeling human airway epithelial cells cultured in PneumaCult™-Ex Medium (Catalog #05008) in submerged cultures.
