Specificity: This antibody recognizes an epitope on mouse CTLA-4. Antigen Distribution: CD152 is expressed on the surface of Helper T cells. Background: The antigen transmits an inhibitory signal to T cells. CD152 plays an important regulatory role in the immune system and is potentially therapeutic in auto-immune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, HIV, autoimmune thyroid disease, multiple sclerosis and may also be useful during organ transplantation and cancer treatment. Applications: (WB, B) This antibody has been reported to promote T cell co-stimulation by blocking CTLA-4 binding and allowing for CD28 binding. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
