Specificity: This antibody recognizes an epitope on mouse CTLA-4. Antigen Distribution: CD152 is expressed on the surface of Helper T cells. Background: The antigen transmits an inhibitory signal to T cells. CD152 plays an important regulatory role in the immune system and is potentially therapeutic in auto-immune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, HIV, autoimmune thyroid disease, multiple sclerosis and may also be useful during organ transplantation and cancer treatment. Applications: (WB, B) This antibody has been reported to promote T cell co-stimulation by blocking CTLA-4 binding and allowing for CD28 binding.
