Specificity: Clone P84 recognizes an epitope on mouse CD172a. Antigen Distribution: CD172a is expressed on monocytes, macrophages, myeloid cells, and neuronal tissue. Background: CD172a is a regulatory membrane type I glycoprotein from the SIRP family. CD172a and its ligand CD47 are thought to modify neural synaptic activity and regulate the phagocytic activities of macrophages via the mediation of bi-directional signaling. Applications: (WB, B) Reported applications include blocking the interaction of CD172a with CD47, and in vivo blocking of dendritic cell migration.
