Specificity: Clone RB6-8C5 recognizes an epitope on mouse Gr-1. Antigen Distribution: Gr-1 is expressed on granulocytes and monocytes. Background: Gr-1 is a 21-25 kD GPI-linked protein. In the bone marrow, the level of Gr-1 expression is correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Immature Myeloid Gr-1+ cells are involved in the development of antitumor immunity. Applications: (IP, WB, In vivo Depletion) Clone RB6-8C5 has been used to identify peripheral blood neutrophils and deplete granulocytes in vivo. RB6-8C5 has been shown to inhibit the binding of clone 1A8. 1A8 reacts specifically with mouse Ly6G with no reported cross-reactivity with Ly6C. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
