Specificity: Clone XMG1.2 recognizes an epitope on mouse IFN-γ. Cell sources: IFN-γ is produced predominantly by NK and NKT cells as part of the innate immune response, in addition to CD4 and CD8 cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) effector T cells once antigen-specific immunity develops. Background: IFN-γ is a pleiotropic cytokine of approximately 15-17 kD that is the only member of the type II class of interferons. This biologically active dimer is vital for innate and adaptive immunity against viral and intracellular bacterial infections, and for tumor control. Applications: (ELISA Cap, ELISPOT , IHC (Frozen), N, WB) XMG1.2 has been reported to be a neutralizing antibody. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
