Specificity: Clone 7B10 recognizes an epitope on mouse Ly-6C. Antigen Distribution: Ly-6C is a marker of memory CD8+ T cells and is mainly expressed on bone marrow myeloid populations, monocytes/macrophages, neutrophils, endothelial cells, and some T cell subsets. Background: Ly-6C is a 14-17 kD GPI linked protein and a member of the Ly-6 family. Ly6 family members share structure homology throughout a characteristic cystein rich protein domain that incorporates O-linked carbohydrates. Development stage and activation play a role in Ly-6 expression that occurs on most hematopoietic cells. Applications: (IP, WB) Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
