Description

Explore the Ideal Gas Law by vaporizing and condensing a volatile liquid to determine molecular mass.

  • How the kit works:
    • In this experiment, a volatile liquid is placed in a test tube sealed with a stopper containing a small hole and heated in a hot water bath until it vaporizes, allowing excess vapor to escape. The tube is then rapidly cooled in an ice bath to condense the vapor, after which the mass of the tube and condensed liquid is determined
  • Kit Includes:
    • 2 x 25 mL Methyl Alcohol
    • 2 x 25 mL Isopropyl Alcohol
