Innovating Science™ AP Chemistry Determination of the Properties of Buffer Solutions
Shop All Aldon ProductsDescription
- How the kit works:
- In this experiment, three buffer solutions with different pH values are prepared to demonstrate their resistance to pH changes when small amounts of acids or bases are added. The behavior of these buffers is then compared with water and a non-buffer solution (NaCl), which exhibit much larger pH changes under the same conditions
- Kit Includes:
- 1 x 30 g Sodium Acetate, trihydrate
- 2 x 25 g Ammonium Chloride
- 1 x 30 g Sodium Bicarbonate
- 4 x 25 g Sodium Chloride
- 1 x 23 mL Acetic Acid EZ-Prep, to make 800 mL of 0.5 M Solution
- 1 x 27 mL Ammonium Hydroxide, EZ-Prep, to make 800 mL of 0.5 M Solution
- 1 x 15 mL Sodium Hydroxide, 1.0 N Solution
- 1 x 15 mL Hydrochloric Acid, 1.0 N Solution
