- How the kit works:
- Commercial food colors may contain more components than are visible to the eye. In this experiment, students use thin layer chromatography to analyze four different food colors and investigate their composition
- By comparing results obtained with three different solvents, students can draw conclusions about the solubility of each dye. The kit contains sufficient materials for 15 groups and includes a Teacher's Manual and Student Study Guide copy-masters
- Kit Includes:
- 1 Food coloring sample set containing:
- 1 x 0.5 mL Yellow
