This rabbit monoclonal antibody is designed to detect endogenous levels of total AP2M1 protein. The antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a recombinant protein specific to the carboxy terminus of the human AP2M1 protein. AP2M1 is a 50 kDa subunit of the AP-2 coat assembly protein complex, which is essential for clathrin-mediated endocytosis at the plasma membrane. It functions by recognizing tyrosine-based sorting motifs in cargo proteins to facilitate their incorporation into clathrin-coated pits.

  • Species reactivity: Human, mouse, and rat.
  • Formulated in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 μg/mL BSA, 50% glycerol, and < 0.02% sodium azide.
