Cerumen, also known as ear wax, is a waxy substance secreted by ceruminous and sebaceous glands. It protects and lubricates the ear canal and assists in cleaning by trapping dirt and dead skin cells. Pickering Labs offers artificual ear wax that can be used for testing of hearing aids, ear buds, and other electronic devices meant to be used in the ears. It contains lanolin, long chain fatty acids and paraffin oil.
