The AutoClip wound closure system provides a fast and effective alternative to sutures for closing wounds in research animals. The system is ideal for quickly closing skin incisions made for ALZET pump implantations, enabling researchers to streamline surgeries and save valuable time. The AutoClip Kit 500 includes three components: AutoClips (quantity 500), AutoClip Applier and AutoClip Remover. The 9 mm AutoClips are ideal for use in rats and provide maximum holding force while minimizing skin trauma. They are easily placed using the automatic, spring-loaded AutoClip Applier. After wound healing the AutoClips Remover is used to remove the clips. All components are supplied non-sterile but may be autoclaved. When needed, additional AutoClips can be purchased separately.
