Avantor ACE UltraCore BIO columns are designed using Solid-Core technology and available in both 300 Angstrom and 500 Angstrom pore sizes. The optimum pore size can be chosen based on the biomolecules (i.e. mAb, dimer, protein species) hydrodynamic volume. These particle formats are ideally suited for the efficient separation of larger molecules over 5 kDa in molecular weight up to 200kDa full pore size access. ACE UltraCore BIO particles are composed of a Solid Silica Core, surrounded by a porous outer shell with larger pore size structures (i.e. 300 A or 500 A). This particle morphology reduces mass transfer for large molecules. ACE UltraCore BIO columns give a reduced peak width and therefore improved resolution when compared to a fully porous alternative. Note: Guard columns are available and require guard holder BIOGRD0001.
