0.85% saline solutions meet NCCLS specifications for standard isotonic sodium chloride solution for use in immunohematologic testing. Standard and buffered solutions are available. Buffered saline is ideal for enhancing weak agglutination reactions in blood bank procedures. pH ranges are controlled.
