Azido myristic acid (12-azidododecanoic acid) is an azide-containing fatty acid reagent used for click-chemistry labeling and detection of protein myristoylation. It reacts with alkyne-containing probes via copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and by strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with DBCO/BCN reagents, enabling metabolic labeling and enrichment of myristoylated proteins.
- Azide functional group for click chemistry applications.
- Suitable for metabolic labeling of myristoylated proteins.
- Reacts in CuAAC and SPAAC conjugation reactions.
- Supplied as a solid-liquid mixture with high purity.
- Stable when stored under recommended conditions (see datasheet for details).
