Bactenecin, G-Biosciences

Description
It lyses gram-negative bacteria by increasing permeability through binding lipopolysaccharides (LPS). The bactenecin/LPS conjugate forms a Beta-hairpin structures which integrate with the bacterial membrane, forming pores. Cytosol contents leak with pore formation and lysis occurs with higher bactenecin concentrations
