Gibco™ Bacto™ CD Supreme Feed (2X), liquid
Description
Gibco Bacto CD Supreme Feed (2X) is an animal origin–free, chemically defined microbial feed specifically formulated to extend culture performance and increase productivity in Escherichia coli (E. coli) fed-batch processes. Designed to deliver a balanced nutrient supply, this hydrolysate-free formulation supports robust cell growth, higher biomass accumulation, and improved product yield across a broad range of E. coli expression strains.
Features of Bacto CD Supreme Feed include:
- Increased productivity with 10-fold higher plasmid DNA production compared to batch mode
- Consistency with a 100% chemically defined, hydrolysate-free composition that minimizes variability
- Streamlined operations using a one-part, ready-to-use formulation that eliminates the need for complex feed preparation
- Easy integration with Bacto CD Supreme FPM and standard sterilization methods for scalable implementation
- Simplified compliance with an animal origin–free formulation that supports global regulatory requirements
Developed for compatibility with both Bacto CD Supreme Fermentation Production Medium (FPM) Plus (Cat. Nos. A9378401, A9378501, A9378502) and Bacto CD Supreme FPM (Cat. Nos. A4973701, A4973702), Bacto CD Supreme Feed provides sustained nutrient delivery during fed-batch fermentation that increases biomass accumulation, extends bioreactor runs, and enhances plasmid DNA and protein yield.
As a chemically defined formulation, Bacto CD Supreme Feed eliminates the performance variability associated with peptone-based feeds and supports consistent outcomes across diverse E. coli strains used in plasmid DNA and recombinant protein production.
Offered in convenient liquid and dry powder (DPM) formats, Bacto CD Supreme Feed ensures ease of use, scalability, and reliability from development to large-scale manufacturing.
