Barraquer needle holders, named after the renowned ophthalmologist Ignacio Barraquer, are surgical instruments used in ophthalmic procedures. These needle holders are designed for precision and control when handling needles during eye surgeries. Barraquer needle holders have a slender, elongated spring design with of two hinged arms with handles at one end and jaws at the other. The jaws of Barraquer needle holders securely grasp surgical needles. The tips of the jaws a textured surface to provide a firm grip on the needle, preventing slippage during delicate eye surgeries. The tips are sharp and curved. Choose either a pair with a lock or without a lock. The lock lets surgeons secure the needle in place while suturing. This locking mechanism enhances stability and precision during the suturing process. These needle holders are constructed from titanium which is 40% lighter than stainless steel, and it is non-magnetic.
