Description

Offers superior detection time in a user-friendly, fluorescent test format

  • Creates an environment suitable for rapid mycobacterial growth
  • Recommended for testing sputum, stool specimens, body fluids and tissue
  • The tube uses fluorometric technology to aid in the reading of results
  • Under UV light, a positive test emits a vivid orange fluorescent glow at the tube base and at the meniscus; a negative test shows little or no glow
  • The Mycobacteria can be removed from the tube for further testing
  • To use, supplement tube with MGIT OADC Enrichment and MGIT PANTA™ Antibiotic Mixture, inoculate with the prepared specimen and incubate
  • Tubes fit into standard procedures for decontamination and waste disposal
