The Belzer UW Cold Storage Solution is a portable organ preservation device that maintains organs at hypothermic temperatures during transport. It features dual chambers to separately preserve and monitor the temperature of two organs. The device uses a Stirling cycle refrigeration system to cool the chambers down to 2-8°C. It has built-in temperature monitoring and alarm systems, is lightweight at only 22 lbs, and can preserve organs for over 10 hours on battery power or indefinitely when plugged in. The device allows safe transport of organs while maintaining ideal preservation conditions.
