ß-1,3-Glucans can produce false positive results in LAL assays. Some examples of glucan sources include yeast and cellulosic materials including hemodialysis filters. Our ß-G-Blocker may be used with any of our LAL assays. Note: PYROGENT Gel Clot LAL products typically do not require ß-G-Blocker.UPDATE (July 2018): Historically this product has been filled in a 5cc screw neck vial and sealed with a black screw cap. A change is being made to update the vial configuration to a 5cc vial which is stoppered and crimped, similar to Lonza's other endotoxin detection products.
