Increased β-hydroxybutyrate levels indicate metabolic acidosis related to diabetes, congenital metabolic diseases, alcoholism or fasting. The reagent is liquid-stable with long onboard and calibration stabilities. Quantitative results ensure early intervention. Measurement of β-Hydroxybutyrate is superior to urine ketone testing. Method: Enzymatic determination with β-Hydroxybutyrate-Dehydrogenase.Reagent 1 contains Buffer, and β=Hydroxybutyrate-Dehydrogenase, reagent 2 contains Buffer, and NAD.
