Biliverdin hydrochloride, Thermo Scientific Chemicals
Description
Biliverdin dihydrochloride was found responsible for cytoprotection. It was also found to induce tolerance to cardiac allografts. Biliverdin hydrochloride may regulate the cellular heme degradation process by occupying the heme binding site on heme oxygenase which would prevent access of the substrate to the catalytic site of the enzyme.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
