Designed to introduce basic concepts of fermentation and bioprocessing through the production of Ethanol in a small-scale fermentor. Edvotek™ Biofuel from Alcohol Fermentation Experiment Kit uses Saccharomyces cerevisiae to break down sugar into ethanol.

  • Experiment conditions controlled with mechanical devices are aeration and temperature
  • pH, bacterial growth, and ethanol production are monitored using specific probes over a period of 5 hours
