BioPrepNylon is specifially designed for the coarse initial filtration of biological preparations. A pure nylon woven filter that is reusable and autoclavable with a 50 micron pore size. For most applications, BioPrepNylon is loosely placed in a Sieve Holder to form a funnel. The sample is placed in the funnel and allowed to drain. The layer of BioPrepNylon are then pressed together to remove all of the extraction liquid. As BioPrepNylon does not wet, significantly greater quantities of the extraction liquid are recovered compared to any other material. A pure nylon filter that does not bind proteins and without detergents, dyes, or salts that can be extracted.
