Biotin-HPDP is a reagent widely used to introduce a biotin moiety to a sulfhydryl group of protein via a reversible disulfide bond via the Biotin switch method. This reagent is useful for affinity-purification of biotinylated proteins by using avidin-coated beads, because the disulfide bond can be cleaved by a reducing agent. However Biotin-HPDP has very low solubility in a solvent, and it is necessary to dissolve it by using an organic solvent such as DMSO or DMF. The preparation of this solution is time-consuming.Biotin-HPDP(WS) solution is a novel water-soluble biotin-labeling reagent that overcomes the problems of Biotin-HPDP by dramatically improving its solubility in water. Moreover, since it is a 20 mmol/L aqueous solution, no reagent dissolution operation is required. Dojindo offers various sulfur biology reagents. (https://www.dojindo.com/sulfur-biology/)
