Biotin-TEG-ATFBA is a click chemistry reagent that incorporates a perfluorophenylazide group. This reagent forms a highly stable azene intermediate which undergoes insertion and addition reactions (non-intermolecular rearrangement) in moderate to good yields after photolysis. It also has an azide group, allowing it to participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing alkyne groups. Additionally, it can undergo ring strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups. It is intended for research use only.
