Description

Bleomycin Sulfate is an anti-cancer agent isolated from Streptomyces verticillus. Bleomycin is a mixture of bleomycin A2 and bleomycin B2, in an approximately 2:1 ratio, respectively.

Bleomycin is used against Hodgkin's lymphoma. The enzymes react with oxygen and produce free radicals, ultimately causing single-stranded breaks in deoxyribose sugars of DNA.
