Boc-Lys(Ac)-AMC is a cell-permeable fluorogenic substrate for histone deacetylases (HDACs). Upon enzymatic deacetylation and subsequent proteolytic cleavage, it releases 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (AMC), producing a fluorescent signal suitable for quantitative fluorometric assays and inhibitor screening (Ex/Em = 355 nm/460 nm).
