Bolton Selective Supplement is a lyophilized antibiotic supplement for the selective enrichment of Campylobacter species from foods. Each vial, sufficient for 500 ml of medium, supplies cefoperazone, vancomycin, trimethoprim and amphotericin B, a combination that suppresses competing bacteria and fungi so injured Campylobacter can resuscitate and grow when added to Bolton Broth Base. Rehydrate with 50% aqueous ethanol before use. A key component of standard Campylobacter detection. Store at 2 to 8 C. Packaged as 5 vials.
