Bradykinin is a peptide that acts as a mediator of pain and inflammation, with pro-inflammatory activity. It is an agonist of the bradykinin receptors, with selectivity for B2 receptor over B1. Important roles in fluid regulation, electrolyte balance, smooth muscle contraction, vasodilation and capillary permeability. A common target of blood pressure lowering drugs, increased levels of bradykinin may be associated with increased lung and gastric cancer risk. Provided as 5 mg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
