Cargille Meltmount (optical quality) is a series of mounting media which are specifically formulated for use in microscope slide mounting and in other optical coupling applications.
< Use Meltmount for instant thermal mountants that require "no-oven-time" and are thermally reversible for sample retrieval or re-orientation. Meltmounts are PBC free and contains no solvents. Cleanup in toluene. Fluid at 65 degree C. It is a direct replacement for old mountant mediums (Canada Balsam, Aroclor 5442, Naphrax...) Has a refractive index (nD @25 deg C) of 1.539 and an Abbe V dispersion of 45. Optically similar to Canada Balsam and ideal for mounting biological specimens.
