Spectrum™ Chemical Castor Oil, Sulfated is an oil that is derived from the castor beans and is made by adding sulfuric acid to the oil. A colorless oil that has no taste or smell and boils at 313°C, it is used as a synthetic detergent in formulating lubricants, softeners, and dyeing assistants. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use. These materials may or may not have a Certificate of Analysis available.
