CD45 is helpful in determining the leukocytic nature ofanaplastic tumors. Combined with other antibodies such as those tocytokeratins and S-100 protein, this monoclonal antibody to leukocytecommon antigen can be used in the characterization of undifferentiatedlarge cell neoplasms. Most neoplastic B cells and T cells stain positive inleukemia and in non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, whereas most neoplasticmyeloid and erythroid cells are negative.
