Biotium’s CellBrite™ Cytoplasmic Membrane Labeling Dyes are lipophilic carbocyanine dyes that label cytoplasmic membrane and intracellular membrane structures efficiently and permanently. They have been used as tracers in cell–cell fusion, cellular adhesion, and migration applications due to their properties of low cytotoxicity and high resistance to intercellular transfer. CellBrite™ dyes are dye delivery solutions that can be added directly to normal culture media to label suspended or adherent cells in culture. The CellBrite™ Blue Cytoplasmic Membrane Labeing Kit features DiB, the first blue carbocyanine dye, which has excitaiton/emission at 366/441 nm in membranes. Biotium offers a selection of CellBrite™ dyes to allow cell populations to be marked in distinctive fluorescent colors for identification after mixing. Double labeling can identify cells that have fused or formed stable clusters. Kit contents: 250 uL DiB cell labeling solution and 250 uL DiB loading buffer.
