Cellpro™ Cell Culture Plate come in 12-well and they are constructed of 100% virgin polystyrene and feature a consistent design. The main differences are in terms of the size of the cell growth area and the volume of the wells. They have round edges for better handling and a low profile, low-evaporation lid design to assure uniform growth. Small feet on the bottom corners of each plate eliminate scraping of the microscope lens. They are non-pyrogenic, DNase/RNase free, and Gamma sterilized. They are TC treated. The tissue culture treatment (TC treated) process involves exposing a polystyrene microplate to a plasma gas in order to modify the hydrophobic plastic surface to make it more hydrophilic. The resulting surface carries a net negative charge due to the presence of oxygen-containing functional groups such as hydroxyl and carboxyl. In general, this will lead to increased cell attachment. 50 per case.
