Description
Hydroxynorketamine (HNK), or 6-hydroxynorketamine, is a secondary metabolite of the anesthetic, dissociative, and antidepressant drug ketamine. It is formed by hydroxylation of the intermediate norketamine. This certified Snap-N-Spike™ solution is suitable for numerous GC/MS or LC/MS applications in forensic analysis, urine drug testing, clinical toxicology, and clinical or diagnostic testing. Ketamine, sold as Ketanest, Ketaset and Ketalar, is an NMDA receptor antagonist used for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in human and veterinary medicine. The drug is often abused at clubs, raves, or parties for its noted hallucinogenic and dissociative properties and prescribed by some doctors as an off-label treatment for depression.
